Jesus Christ and to nurture their faith as an integral part of the church

community and its mission.

General Responsibilities/Expectations:

1.      Maintain a vital personal relationship of faith and discipleship with Jesus Christ and stay abreast of the current thinking and practice in Student and Family Ministries. 

2.      Develop and lead a program for Junior and Senior High school age teenagers that introduces, educates and nurtures them in personal relationships with Jesus Christ that are increasingly characterized by faith and discipleship.

3.      Develop and lead a program for families with teenagers that equips and supports the family as a primary focus of Christian formation and provides resources for the challenges of this stage of family life.  

4.      Recruit, equip, nurture and lead a student ministry team that involves and empowers appropriately gifted adult believers in a ministry of acceptance, relationship, modeling, and support of teenagers.

5.      Coordinate and cooperate with other church staff and appropriate Session commissions in order to integrate youth ministries with the rest of the church.

6.      Although the primary focus of the Minister with Students is on the Jr. and Sr. High ministry, the Minister with Students will also coordinate and oversee the ministry to college students as there is need.

Compensation / Benefits:

·   Full time (40 hours/week)

·   Salary Range / $30,000 - $40,000 depending on experience

·   Vacation and health insurance

·   Compensation reviewed annually with the Personnel Committee
