Welcome to the Children Ministry’s homepage.  Below you’ll find information about Sunday School and the special activities throughout the year.

Our mission is to spiritually grow and develop children so that in God’s timing, they will be in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Sunday School

Children ages 2 through 6th grade begin the worship service with the congregation and are dismissed to their Sunday school rooms from the sanctuary. 

Nursery Room 

The Nursery is staffed by a professional caregiver, and there are pagers available for parents to take to the sanctuary during the service.

Activities

Throughout the year the Children’s Ministry Mission Group organizes special events for the children of St John’s and the community.  Here are some examples of these events:

  • An Easter Party featuring an Easter message, crafts, and an Easter egg hunt.

  • Vacation Bible School for a week each summer in the afternoon at the church.

  • Summer camps at Forest Home for a week in the San Bernardino Mountains.

  • TreeHouse an after school Program held in the evenings three times a year!

The Advent workshop is always an anticipated event in December.  This is an opportunity for families to make crafts and fellowship with each other at the beginning of Advent.

The Christmas Eve Family service is a joy filled time that provides an opportunity for families to worship and celebrate the birth of Jesus together.

Welcome to Power Lab,

where kids discover Jesus’ miraculous power! Get ready for an exciting adventure, following Jesus as he heals, helps, and gives power to people who need him. 


 Power Lab is fizzing with fun for kids, teenagers, and adults. Everyone involved in this VBS will explore God’s Word…and never be the same again! As kids experience amazing Bible adventures, they’ll take part in Daily Challenges that encourage them to apply Bible truths to everyday life. 

 

   3 year olds through incoming 6th graders, join us for a week of fun,
August 4th - 8th from 3:30 - 6:00pm
Pre check in on Sunday August 3rd after 10:15 service

 

The cost is $20.00 per child for the week, includes t-shirt and CD,

$15.00 each additional child


 Pre registration is requested, t-shirt not guaranteed for late registration.

Mail check to St. John's Presbyterian Church by July 11th to qualify.

 

Don't forget the Power Lab Finale on Friday at 6:00pm followed by our

annual Family Picnic on the lawn.

The picnic is free for all children and volunteers who participate and is only

$5.00 for each additional member of your family!!!

 

You can pay for the picnic with your registration.
