CELTIC / ADULT CHOIR

The Celtic Choir consists of 25 volunteer singers who love to sing the Lord’s praises together.  Accompanied by HaeSung Park, this dedicated group sings prepared music every Sunday morning during worship services.

Our Choir Director is Dr. Lynne Verdi, a talented pianist, organist and vocalist, who has a passion for the Lord and who shares our desire to continue offering a blended service of worship.  In her own words:  “I am familiar with all styles of music, from classical to contemporary praise music…. I love sharing spiritual truth in song and feel the Lord has blessed my ministry with this talent and desire".

The choir also performs occasionally for special concerts and services.  Some of these include the Maundy Thursday service, Christmas Eve service, and Christmas Concert.

Occasionally, members of the choir provide music for church-wide events such as the Advent Workshop and Mother-Daughter Tea.  In addition, solo opportunities exist for interested members during parts of the Sunday services and during the summer when the choir is on their break.

The flexibility of the Celtic Choir is demonstrated by their ability to sing various styles of choral music.  From Palestrina to Bach, Handel to Beethoven, traditional hymns, spirituals, gospel, modern/contemporary compositions, this choir does it all!

“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.  For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the work of your hands.”  (Psalm 92:1-4)

In rehearsal and during services, we raise our voices in praise to the Living God, and seek to further His Kingdom through songs of prayer and praise.

Rehearsal Times and Location:

Thursdays 7:30-9:30p.m.
Sundays – 9:00 am rehearsal, 10:15am service
Choir Loft in the Sanctuary

We welcome new singers at any time.  All you need is a desire to sing for the Lord, an ability to work with others, and a willingness to share your talents. Music reading skills are helpful, but not required.
